We are a small manufacturing unit based in Kathmandu. We produce our own label of clothing and accessories under the "Heaven Hemp" range , and also produce for other companies.
We are proud to work with Nepali hemp which has to be brought from far west of the country. Producing from clothing, bags, ropes, twines, accessories, jewellery, rugs, paper, shoes etc for many years, we feel we have good quality products.
Heaven Hemp began in 1999 with the intention of first trading in, then manufacturing, quality products from hemp fibre, Nepal's great indigenous plant.
Heaven Hemp is a cottage industry employing a permanent staff, working under good conditions and paid a fair wage.
Heaven Hemp buys yarn and cloth from farmers living in rural western Nepal for a fair price. We can only buy hemp that grows wild as the industrial cultivation of hemp is prohibited in Nepal. All our products that are made in this way at Heaven Hemp carry the tag, 'Made from Wild Nepali Hemp'. All our accessories are made from Nepali hemp. We hope that the cultivation of industrial hemp will be considered for Nepal in the future.
We work with different companies in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia. We are based in a politically poor country and believe that the way ahead is through Trade and not through Aid. We will be looking to work with many partners worldwide who respect our beliefs.
