Many of CHC's efforts are concentrated a little closer to home. In addition to founding CHC, Mr. Plotnikoff also formed the Canadian Hemp Farmers' Association (CHFA), the operating arm of CHC. CHFA educates farmers about hemp and enlists interested farmers in the largest hemp association in Canada. Participating farmers contract acreage to the cultivation of hemp
crops. CHC provides the seed and growing technology to its CHFA members, who then sell the harvested seed to CHC, which then processes it to oil for marketing world-wide. CHC has 10,000 acres committed (under contract) for hemp cultivation by CHFA members in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
CHC is in a unique position, having secured the exclusive rights to certain technology and premium hemp seed varieties. At our processing plant , CHC currently concentrates on extracting and processing hemp seed oil; hemp fibre manufacturing is a future possibility.
